I was playing Omaha rebuy tournament at casino Yesterday.
Once a guy got a nice hand: 5678. He played it like a maniac - and got busted.
I wanted to calculate some match in order to find out, if aggressive play preflop is justified with it.
The math showed, that:
A) Straight is flopped in 6.2% flops. Most of them are nut straights (about 75%).
B) An openended straight draw is floppped surprisingly often: 67%. And, straight is completed by the river one in four cases.
Thus, you get straight with this power hand 30% by the river.
How to play this hand. Maniac style is not the right one. In position would build the pot by a small raise and then see, what happens.
So, pretty good figures.
